Volunteer at Meals on Wheels of Boulder! It takes more than 150 volunteers every week... Meals on Wheels is a community-sponsored meal service, aimed at making life a little easier for people who have trouble preparing their own hot meals. Every day of the week, 30 volunteers prepare, serve and deliver a tasty, hot nutritious meal to nearly 200 homebound clients. There are lots of volunteer opportunities, whether you can volunteer two hours or twenty hours a week. As we expand, we need more volunteers. We need you. We need regular and substitute drivers, early morning food prep workers, packers, lunch servers, Tuesday evening dinner assistants, office/marketing volunteers, lunchtime cashiers, cook assistants and trainees. From time to time we could use help with data entry and special events. We're often asked if groups can volunteer and the answer is "Yes!" We welcome groups from clubs, churches, schools and businesses. Often a group will "adopt" a particular route on a specific day each week.
