Meals on Wheels of Boulder has been providing sustaining care to people in Boulder since 1969. We are dealing with the long-term, sometimes tedious battle of providing for those in Boulder who need a hot meal and a friendly visit to help them keep going — day in and day out, this week, this month, this year.
Perhaps just as important as the meal, we bring the friendly caring contact of our volunteers every single day. More than 450 volunteers give their time and resources to let those confined to their homes know someone cares. Each day, they also bring dignity, security, friendship, and independence along with that meal. We receive no Federal or State government funding to support our home delivered meal program. We rely 100% on the thoughtfulness of our Boulder friends, like you. Every cent you give stays right here in Boulder! Without you, we could not be successful. It’s as simple as that. Individual donations like yours made it possible for us to prepare nearly 75,000 meals last year and to purchase food for individuals in Boulder who may otherwise not have had at least one hot meal a day. All thanks to you!
